About Tim :
Tim heads the firm’s Land Development and Property team and has been a partner at Glaister Ennor for over 30 years. Tim is very hghly regarded amongst property law specialists and he has many years’ experience advising clients in residential and commercial property transactions. This includes major land development projects in the Auckland area and nationally.
Transaction expertise
• Tim has been involved in the review of the Unit Titles Act and has acted for many developers and purchasers of Auckland apartments, many of these purchasers from overseas. Tim has also advised several Body Corporate clients, both generally in respect of issues specific to unit title ownership and also in respect of Body Corporate rules.
• With many years of experience in property law, Tim is frequently asked to do expert evidence matters on cases on property and conveyancing issues.
• Until recently he was a member of the executive of the New Zealand Law Society Property Law Section and Tim continues to be involved as Sole Convener of the Land Titles System Technical Committee. Tim is also the Vice President of the Auckland Branch of the NZLS
• He has been involved with the drafting of the plain English form of the REINZ Standard Agreement for Sale & Purchase and also the redrafting of the Auction Agreement and Tender code. Tim has run a series of seminars for agents on this subject and on real estate practice.
• He has presented numerous seminars on subdivision, building contracts, land title process and electronic registration throughout New Zealand on behalf of the New Zealand Law Society. His team runs a client seminar series each year on property related issues.
• He writes regularly for the property section of the New Zealand Herald and for other property related publications.
