Glaister Ennor initiated the Glaister Ennor Graduate Art Awards in 2006 to help emerging artists in Auckland. Each year we ask each Auckland art school to nominate candidates for the award from its graduating artists.
Artists are asked to submit any two dimensional piece of art, to be included in an exhibition of nominees’ artwork and to be judged by a panel of judges.
The awards are held in conjunction with Oedipus Rex Art Gallery who offer an opportunity to the winning artist to exhibit at the gallery.
First prize - Glaister Ennor award - $3000 plus the opportunity to exhibit at the Oedipus Rex Gallery, 32 Lorne Street, Auckland
2nd prize - Barfoot & Thompson award -$3000
